ARMIES

Anglo-Saxon armies were usually quite small, consisting of only a few hundred men. Most soldiers were part of the infantry.

WEAPONS

Anglo-Saxon weapons were pretty well developed, here are a few of them:

SWORD  (SWEORD)

Swords were only owned by wealthy soldiers, it took a lot of time to make them.

SHIELD (SCYLD)

Shields were common weapons, used by spearmen, swordsmen and

axe men.

SPEARS (GAR)

Spears were over 2 metres long, according to Anglo-Saxon law, every freeman should have a spear.

AXE  (AEX)

Axes were the most feared Anglo-Saxon weapons. Axes could smash a shield.
