Anglo-Saxons In War

Weapons

During war the Anglo-Saxons had a wide variety of weapons , such as spears, axes, swords, knifes, and bows and arrows. Battle axes were the most feared but a sword would be the most precious because it would take hours for a blacksmith to craft one.

Materials

If the Saxons wanted to be more feared they would have to get valuable materials for their weapons. The Anglo-Saxons had access to bronze, gold, stone and iron.


Protection

If you wanted lots of protection then you would have to of been wealthy.The rich Anglo-Saxons would have worn bronze helmets, chain mail
shirts and would have held a shield.
